The 2019 edition, held at the Jockey Exhibition Center in Lima, brought together innovators from every corner of the textile and apparel world from fibre producers and machinery makers to fashion designers and sustainability pioneers.
For JB Ecotex, being part of Expotextil 2019 meant exploring how recycled polyester fibre and rPET materials could contribute to the growing sustainable fashion movement in South America. Conversations with local manufacturers and exporters revealed a shared goal to blend craftsmanship with circular innovation and reduce environmental impact across the value chain.
Set against the energy of Lima’s textile hub, the event offered a cross-continental exchange of ideas on technology, design, and responsible production. Expotextil Perú 2019 was a reminder that sustainability speaks one language, no matter which part of the world it begins in.
